Inspired by the powerful warm winds that rush off the Rockies and sweep across Alberta, Chinooks bring sudden shifts that can feel like another season has arrived overnight. This fleece was built with that same spirit — ready for the unexpected, designed for change.

Soft, breathable, and made for unpredictability, it’s the layer you’ll reach for in shoulder season or when a mid-winter warm spell takes you by surprise. Wear it on its own, or pair it with the Chinook Shell when the wind and rain roll back through. Together, they form a system that finally keeps pace with Canada’s ever-changing winters.

Features & Materials

• Warmth with Breathability: Made from 100% polyester sherpa fleece (300GSM), the outer fabric has a lofty pile that offers excellent insulation while staying soft, elastic, and breathable. The inner fabric is an ultra-soft and smooth anti-pill microfleece. 

• Convenient Storage: Two zippered front hand pockets give you space to stash essentials or keep your hands warm.

• Durable Seams: Flatlock stitching (3-needle, 5-thread) provides flexible, comfortable seams that are built to last.

• Comfortable Collar: A stand-up collar, finished in matching shell fabric, helps block cool air while adding a clean, structured look.

• Distinctive Branding: Finished with a rectangular woven label on the left sleeve and elastic binding featuring the Northern Sun logo at the hem, cuffs, and front placket for subtle detailing.

• Optional Chest Pocket (Black & Dark Green): Select colorways include a contrast nylon 4-way stretch chest pocket with resin zipper, giving a bold 3D effect.

Comfortable from +15°C to -5°C. (Rated to -25°C when layered with the Chinook Shell)
