Mulberry Silk-filled Duvet Insert with Organic Cotton Shell

Our 100% Mulberry Silk Duvet Insert is filled with top grade double-coccon (or dupioni) long-strand mulberry silk, and encased in 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. The silk duvet is extra soft and fluffy compared to regular silk-filled duvet. Both fills and shell are OEKO-TEX certified for not containing any harmful chemicals.

SPECIFICATIONS
- Fills: 100% double-coccon long strand mulberry silk, widely known as the smoothest, most durable and most premium grade of silk.
- Shell: GOTS certified organic cotton in 300 thread count and sateen weave. The fabric features a natural warm white with a lustrous glow.
- Minimalist Packaging: comes in a non-woven fabric bag that is reusable and recyclable.

DESIGN DETAILS and STORIES
- Handmade by artisans with decades of experience: the fillings are hand-stretched from silk cocoons to ensure the even spread of silk fibre.
- Tack stitch: long strand silk is "sticky" and attaches naturally and firmly to the cotton shell. Using large scale stitching such as box construction is not only unnecessary but also reduces silk's fluffiness and luxury texture. We thus use tack stitch. This helps reinforce the position of the insert without sacrificing the unique properties of silk duvet.
- 3 loops on each side of the duvet to tie with a cover.
- For full transparency, we replaced 12cm of the edge stitch with hidden zipper so you can inspect the silk fill easily. It is not uncommon to find fake mulberry silk duvet marketed at a high price, but the texture of authentic long-strand mulberry silk is noticeably different from polyester, short-strand or wild silk fill.

CARE TIPS
- Duvet cover is strongly recommended to be used together.
